FlorNetwork

FlorNetwork is a professional association that develops, creates and markets advanced IT solutions in the horticulture field.

It’s the natural interface of all those organizations that can use what the other members and I make.

Among that there are the two spin-off myB2B and Flipp.

FlorNetwork is formed by members of AEA Minoprio (Association of School of Minoprio Alumni).

We have constant contacts and relations with the Association ACL Lullier (Les anciens de Châtelaine et Lullier) in Geneve, Switzerland and A.A.E.E. du Breuil (Association des Anciens Elèves et des Etudiants Ecole Du Breuil) in Paris, France, and of course, with the Minoprio Foundation.

Flipp

Flipp is an advanced professional active marketing platform that allows an efficient, rapid and very accurate QR code management.

This platform generates codes with a small level of complexity, which dramatically reduce the possibility of reading failure by smartphones and tablets.

Flipp allows to redefine the contents without having to change the code making it very useful both when it’s used for traceability and marketing related purposes and when it’s used for positioning and geo-referencing.

The platform is multiuser and provides an accurate visitor’s analysis, allowing the creation of targeted marketing activities or knowledge of the consumer’s level.

Unlike less complex and free platforms, the subscriber remains the owner of information collected by the system.

Due to its peculiarities Flipp can be used as a discrete silent alarm, turning it into a valuable tool for forensic investigations and anti-counterfeiting. In addition our apps can be used to manage a QR code in different ways to get several uses from the same image.

Filpp an bring anything on the Web, becoming a non-invasive first approach to the Internet of Things (IoT).

The application fields are plenty and this tool is suitable as an ultra-low cost solution.

myB2B

myB2B is a web platform born to directly bring together demand and supply of goods and services, at professional level (business-to-business or B2B).

It was born to overcome a very felt problem, a direct contact between producers and users, in order to receive and make offers based on objective parameters.

Its strength, in addition to the power of this tool, is its extreme simplicity. The profile configuration operation is practicable by anyone within seconds. Sending a request and its response are as simple as an email. No training time.
Bidders receive a message notifying them of a request, which can be evaluated to decide whether to answer or not.

The marketing and sales ultimate tool. As John Wanamaker used to say “I know half the money I spend on advertising is wasted, but I can never find out which half.” MyB2B fixes this dilemma.

The service is related to the horticultural industry, but the platform is available and can be implemented for other merchandise categories.
The system uses a semantic search process, with a proprietary algorithm that allows to select offers combining taxonomies and ontologies.

Spin-offs

Over time, some services have evolved, to become, by virtue of their salient features, autonomous activities usually defined as spin-offs.

At this moment they are two:

  • myB2b, a platform that facilitates the matching between demand and supply of goods and services;
  • Flipp, a URL management service, that combines the production and use of dynamic QR codes. A powerful tool for positioning and marketing.

Thematic portals

The production on the Web has evolved towards the creation of thematic portals, offering services to support companies (B2B).

Among them there are two spin-offs:

MyB2B, is an easy to use service designed to facilitate the match between supply and demand (B2B). It’s dedicated to the horticulture market. The entire platform can be related to other product categories.

Flipp, is a proprietary URL management service, integrated with a QR Code utility, able to manage several billions of tags. It’s simple, powerful, with accurate data analysis. It also offers a basic Data Analytics service but can be easily integrated with more specific tools.

Internet of Things (IoT)

My vision of the Internet of Things, there are not only sensors, wired or wireless devices, but in my opinion, it is possible to give life to things on the Web without the use of active devices.

By this vision I have derived two approaches:

  • classic IoT applications, albeit with a look at mature technologies which will inevitably be with us for some more years, and those more recently introduced, such as BLE and NFC. This approach allows the use of almost all mobile devices, not just the latest generation. In this context I design and make both software and hardware;
  • dynamic and intelligent QR Code based applications, which give new life to a tag at each new step, accompanying a service or a product during its life along all its steps, and at the same time returning different contents depending on the context or used app. From this project derived the spin-off Flipp and a  scientific paper with Kaunas Forestry and Environanmental Engineering University of Applied Sciences in Lithuania.

Products and services

R&D activities lead to the creation of new products and services.

Currently my activities are focused on positioning and detection systems, geared towards the enjoyment of public and private areas, both in open spaces and in closed structures, creating new marketing opportunities too.

Everything comes from my personal vision of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Furthermore, in software development I made portals and integrated services which are evolving as spin-offs.
